Luis Javier and Miguel Angel Cordoba co-founded in 2004, with 4 other circus artists, the company Hopla Circus. Together they created the street show “La Familia Rodriguez”which they toured with during 5 years in Europe and abroad (China, Israel, Mexico).
The company Doble Mandoble was created later in 2007. Here they created a new act based on magic and clown called “The untamed rings”.
With the same act they received the first prize at the magic contest of “Macamagie” in Wavre (Belgium) in 2008.
Doble Mandoble created in 2009 their first indoor performance “Mi Otro Yo”.
They here worked with a new approach in magic, mixing circus, object manipulation and acting, all surrounded with a burlesque style. Doble Mandoble’s objective is not to demonstrate a simple magic performance, but to put their skills at the service of a new form of visual theatre, that proves to be original, playful, poetic and absurd.
In 2011 Doble Mandoble presents a new street performance called “La Belle Escabelle” a performance about what human beings are capable to do with ordinary ladders.
Doble Mandoble has collaborated with the company Offroad in the creation and production of the performances “La Belle Escabelle” and “Collisions”.
